KIMAW MEDICAL CENTER IS SEEKING APPLICANTS TO FILL THE FOLLOWING POSITION: CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER (CMO): Regular, Contractual, Salary: DOE. Responsible for leadership and administration of K'ima:w Medical Center services. Direct and coordinate all activities of the medical functions. Provides clinical consultation and oversight to physicians and mid-level providers. Collaborates with all KMC Departments, the CEO, and the Board of Directors in planning, implementing, and evaluating health programming quality health services to clients. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Graduate of an accredited medical school (MD or DO). Current unrestricted medical license (California preferred). Minimum of five (5) years of direct ambulatory care experience. Minimum of two (2) years in administrative and/or leadership experience. Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams. Strong commitment to community-based healthcare and culturally sensitive service delivery. Maintains integrity and makes choices based on what is best for the organization. The candidate should possess strong human relations skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in tribal or rural healthcare settings. Board certification in a primary care specialty. Familiarity with Indian Health Service (IHS) programs and regulations.
