Major Food Group seeks experienced and qualified Runners to join our team at Contessa Boston!
Contessa is the crown jewel of dining atop one of Boston’s most glamorous hotels, The Newbury Boston. Delightfully re-imagined, this rooftop destination is inspired by the old-world resorts of Europe and the lasting estates of Italy where classic grand trattoria cuisine awaits.
As a valuable addition to our team, you must ensure that guests have a pleasant and memorable dining experience. The ideal candidates will be passionate and have a commanding knowledge about food, wine, and service in general.
These individuals will be the key points of contact for guests throughout their dining experience. They must have the ability to work well with the team and provide the utmost level of hospitality to our guests.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Delivers food from kitchen and delivers to guests in an accurate and timely manner
Understands all menu offerings, food descriptions and ingredients and is able to verbalize to guests
Set tables appropriately to ensure guests have everything needed at each stage of service
Ensure expo and service station areas are organized and maintained
Maintains cleanliness of tables between courses and resets tables upon completion of meal
Assists front-of-house team with other duties as required or assigned
Ability to effectively communicate dish drop lines
Maintain a working knowledge of floor plan and all menus.
Maintain an understanding of and adhere strictly to all allergy related protocols
All employees are required to adhere to the Uniform and Grooming policies at all times.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 2 years working in a high volume, upscale restaurant preferred
Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
