JOB SUMMARY – EVENT SECURITY OFFICER

The Event Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, staff and property. This includes event entrances, credential access points, crowd movement areas, vendor zones, VIP sections and emergency response corridors at major stadiums, concert venues and festival sites.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide professional guest services at events while enforcing venue policies
• Patrol and monitor assigned areas; report suspicious activity
• Monitor crowds and high-traffic zones to prevent incidents
• Conduct bag checks, ticket verification or credential access checks
• Support venue evacuations or emergency procedures as needed
• Deter, de-escalate and reasonably detain persons involved in criminal activity (when applicable by law)
• Coordinate with local law enforcement or fire if necessary
• Escort trespassers or ejected patrons off property
• Other duties as directed by Lead or Supervisor

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Excellent situational awareness and attention to detail
• Strong verbal communication and presence
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and during high-crowd volume
• Professional attitude and guest-service mindset

EDUCATION / LICENSE REQUIREMENT

• Valid State Unarmed Security Officer License (as required by state)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand/walk for long periods during events
• Ability to move quickly in emergency situations
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
