As a Structural Welder, you will set up, operate and adjust manual and/or automatic machines to perform welding operations in all positions.
Additional Information: \n - Urgently hiring
\n - Multiple openings
\n - This is a supplemental position located at the Solar Turbines manufacturing facility located in Channelview, TX
\n - No relocation package is available
\n
\n
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: \n - Perform Manual finish welding operations on carbon and stainless steel in all positions
\n - Follow documented procedures and standard work to perform safe and defect free operations
\n - Perform carbon arc cutting and gouging
\n - Sanding may be required to prepare and dress welds
\n - Use of forklifts, pallet jacks, jib and overhead cranes to move and position work pieces
\n
\n
Required Qualifications: \n - Must be able to successfully pass the structural welder qualification test and weld with FCAW process
\n - Be available to work 1st or 2nd shift
\n - Minimum of 6 months of experience in a production environment
\n - Ability to work overtime to support production demands, including weekends
\n - Ability to work well individually or in a team environment
\n - Ability to perform simple computer operations
\n
\n
Desired Qualifications: \n - Combination Structural Welder and Fitter
\n - One (1) to three (3) years of FCAW welding experience with structural steel components
\n - One year of GMAW welding experience
\n - At least one (1) year of experience Air Carbon Arc Gouging
\n
\n
Top Candidates: \n - Combination Structural Welder and Fitter
\n - Good Communication Skills and strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
\n - Experience with Automated or Mechanized welding systems such as: Robotic Welding Cells, Orbital Welding and/or Track Welders
\n - 6GR Qualification
\n - Leadership Experience
\n

**Candidates may be placed on any shift, dependent on business needs**
Summary Pay Range: $22.74 - $34.11
