Corporate Security Officer - Armed

Allied Universal is hiring a Corporate Security Officer - Armed. The Corporate Security Officer will conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior), control access and egress, monitor CCTV and alarm systems, compose reports, deter criminal activity, and misconduct, and perform other duties as specified in post orders. This position will ensure all duties are carried out with safety as the number one priority and will foster and model a healthy Safety Conscious Work Environment (SCWE).

Compensation-Starting at $19.42 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle as well as post/site inspections
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articles
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
• Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current and valid driver's license
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• If previously employed, verifiable positive work history
• Ability to operate a radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors and surveillance equipment as needed
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Active listening skills
• Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
• Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
• Attention to detail
• Be at least 21 years old or minimum age required by the State
• Ability to work scheduled 12-hour shifts
• Ability to operate a radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors and surveillance equipment.
• Demonstrate an ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior security, nuclear or corporate security experience
