Position Summary

The Bartender at Otonomus Hotel is responsible for crafting and serving cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages while delivering an elevated guest experience in alignment with our luxury hospitality standards. This role combines expert mixology, efficiency, and warm hospitality to ensure every guest feels welcome and well-cared for.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and specialty drinks in accordance with standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Engage with guests at the bar and in lounge areas, providing recommendations and upselling premium products.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar station, including garnishes, tools, and glassware.
  • Accurately open, manage, and close tabs using POS systems; handle cash and credit card transactions responsibly.
  • Monitor guest behavior and practice responsible alcohol service; follow all state/local beverage service protocols.
  • Collaborate with cocktail servers and barback team to ensure timely and coordinated service.
  • Assist in inventory management, restocking, and end-of-shift cleanup and bar setup for next service.
  • Maintain knowledge of current beverage trends, seasonal offerings, and Otonomus signature cocktails.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of bartending experience in a high-volume, upscale bar, lounge, or luxury hotel environment.
  • Strong knowledge of spirits, classic and modern cocktails, beer, and wine.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older and possess current SNHD Health Card and TAM Card
  • Excellent interpersonal and guest service skills with a professional and engaging presence.
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
