Position Summary

The MEDITECH Expanse Now Analyst is responsible for the implementation, support, and optimization of the MEDITECH Expanse Now platform within healthcare organizations. This role will focus primarily on EHR Mobility with significant involvement in Provider workflow components including Entering Orders, Documentation, Med Reconciliation, Charges, Transfers and Discharges from the product side. The ideal candidate will have a native application background and the ability to stand up a new native application from the ground up.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with clinical and operational teams to design workflows, configure system functionalities, and ensure the Expanse Now solution delivers efficient, accurate, and user-friendly experiences. A major aspect of this role will be managing provider onboarding into the application; including entering provider IDs, verifying experience, and ensuring a smooth onboarding process.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the MEDITECH hosted portal and/or Expanse Now workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the setup and configuration of new native applications within MEDITECH Expanse Now.
  • Configure and support OM-related components, including Orders, Pharmacy, and PAPD modules which include Provider workflow components: Ordering, Documentation, Med Reconciliation, Charges, Transfers and Discharges from the product side
  • Collaborate with product teams to ensure proper integration of clinical workflows into Expanse Now.
  • Manage provider onboarding into the application, including entry of IDs, credentials, and access setup.
  • Provide expertise in MEDITECH hosted portal configuration and optimization.
  • Experience with installation and configuration of clinical electronic healthcare systems.
  • Collaborate with end users to gather feedback and actively drive process improvement and culture change as approved by leadership.
  • Advise clients on optimal Expanse Now workflows, configuration options, and system utilization for real-time clinical decision support.
  • Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and user groups to address concerns, gather feedback and troubleshooting
  • Develop documentation, job aids, and project content for both internal and external use.
  • Deliver peer-to-peer training and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Drive client communications to enhance understanding of best practices, project timelines, deliverables, and risks/issues.
  • Independently monitor work for accuracy and completeness.
  • Participate in strategic planning with clients and contribute to the development of statements of work.
  • Incorporate lessons learned into department practices, methodologies, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of relevant healthcare IT experience.
  • Strong knowledge of MEDITECH Expanse, with proven experience standing up new native applications.
  • Strong understanding of OM domain workflows, with hands-on experience in Orders, Pharmacy, and PAPD.
  • Clinical background preferred but not required (RN, RT, PharmD, or other relevant discipline).
  • Experience managing provider onboarding processes in a clinical application environment.
  • Experience with MEDITECH hosted portal strongly preferred.
  • Intermediate to expert proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Ability to create deliverables independently and provide technical/functional guidance on project deliverables.
  • Experience communicating requirements to development, testing, education, and training teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Clinical credentials preferred (e.g., RN, RRT, PharmD, NP, PA, or equivalent).
  • MEDITECH Expanse certification or training completion preferred.
  • Additional healthcare IT certifications (e.g., CHCIO, CPHIMS) a plus.
  • Knowledge of current trends in Mobile Health technology a plus.
  • Capability to troubleshoot common mobile device issues a plus
