The primary responsibility of this role is to manage and execute Stratums marketing content strategy. This includes creating and distributing high-quality communications across a variety of platforms including targeted emails, blogs, newsletters, whitepapers, trade publication articles, podcasts, and our website. Youll also serve as the primary point of contact for building and nurturing industry relationships, ensuring our ingredients receive the right visibility and promotion across all relevant channels.
In addition to content development and relationship management, youll support the Marketing Manager with key tasks such as coordinating advertising schedules, organizing promotional materials and presentations, assisting with website updates and PR initiatives, and helping manage trade shows, events, and the maintenance of all Stratum Sales Tools.
Following adequate training and onboarding, the Marketing & Communications Specialist will be expected to take a lead role in representing Stratum at trade shows and industry conferences, overseeing booth operations, engaging with key stakeholders, and contributing to a strong brand presence at events.

Job Duties:
Coordinate all company marketing content:
Oversee the in-house content calendar, aligning it with editorial schedules of key industry trade publications. Develop high-quality, ingredient-specific content that supports Stratums product portfolio and adheres to scientific and regulatory standards
Oversee the planning, copywriting, and scheduling of monthly marketing communicationsincluding emails, blogs, whitepapers, newsletters, press releases, podcast scripts, and website contentto ensure consistency with the companys overall marketing strategy and brand voice.
Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to ensure all messaging is consistent with brand guidelines, aligns with editorial content and advertising efforts, and supports overall strategic marketing objectives and goals
Assist Marketing Manager in target customer marketing efforts
Identify and coordinate with potential Brand Ambassadors/Influencers to help support Stratum brand and connect with customer brands
Develop and nurture relationships within the trade publications through communication and trade show meetings
Work with reps from trade pubs to purchase effective advertising based on marketing strategy and goals
Assist the Marketing Manager with the project management database (Smartsheet), and assist with organizing, planning, and conducting marketing events, trade shows, presentations, and other promotions.
Provide administrative assistance to the Marketing Manager in the form of, but not limited to, filing team expense reports and updating the marketing budget
Participate with the marketing team in advertising and marketing strategy meetings/brainstorms
Support the Marketing Manager with any additional marketing duties
Standard office duties, which can include lifting up to 20 lbs.
Run errands when needed if on site (i.e. Post office, Walmart, plant facility, etc.)

Accountability:
The Marketing & Communications Specialist is accountable to the Marketing Manager
Preferred Education/Experience:
At least 2 years of experience working in the dietary supplement or nutrition industry
Associates degree or higher
Relevant work experience in the dietary supplement industry may be considered in lieu of a formal higher education degree.
Tradeshow and/or industry conference experience preferred
