Join to apply for the Jack in the Box - TEAM LEADER role at Giants Baseball & Softball Camps POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible, as the first-line operational supervisor, for training and leading team members in consistently delivering an exceptional guest experience, including ensuring great tasting/quality food, executing on 20/20 guest expectations, and ensuring compliance with all Jack in the Box procedures, systems and standards. Responsibilities Guest Expectations – Ensure guest satisfaction by saying yes to the guest, following the 3-steps (Listen, Apologize, Make it Right) when problems occur, and using JIB Smart Selling standards as appropriate. Well-Trained – Train and coach team members using the Guest Expectations materials; model calmness during busy times; coach team members to be knowledgeable on job requirements. Neat and Well-Groomed – Enforce uniform and grooming standards; model professional appearance. Friendly – Demonstrate and coach on a positive, friendly attitude; model the JIB Hospitality Model. Well-Staffed – Maintain restaurant readiness, assist with order taking and cashiering during busy times, and ensure adherence to schedules, breaks, and timekeeping. Food Tastes Great – Monitor and coach on food quality, presentation, taste, appearance, and temperature standards; retrain as needed. Consistent and Quick Service – Model urgency and provide fast, consistent service; assist with service during busy periods. Order Accuracy – Model accurate order communication, follow up on errors, and maintain low error rates. Food Safety – Follow food safety/quality policies, hand washing and glove procedures; complete the Food Safety Checklist each shift. Brand Ambassador – Promote passion for the brand and inspire the team to embrace Jack in the Box. Focus on the Guest – Treat guests and employees with care and respect; read and respond to guest cues; address complaints positively. Team Skills – Be a good team player and leader, maintain calm under pressure, work with diverse teams, and coordinate resources to ensure coverage and compliance with JIB standards and labor laws. Commitment – Thrive in a fast-paced environment, act professionally under pressure, maintain systems and cleanliness, take corrective action to protect food safety/quality, train others on products and systems, and manage cash handling. Front of Restaurant – Oversee guest service (dine-in/drive-thru), interior and exterior cleanliness, and provide hands-on support during peak times. Guest Service: acknowledge guests, take/clarify orders, enter in POS, handle payments, assemble and deliver orders, maintain cleanliness. Interior: cleaning, stocking, and maintenance of dining area and equipment. Exterior: parking lot and drive-thru area upkeep. Supervision – Manage workstation operations, guest service training, and leadership responsibilities including onboarding, feedback, recognition, and managing employee issues. Back of Restaurant – Oversee grill, assembly, prep, fryer, interior, exterior, and receiving/storage activities with emphasis on safety, quality, and efficiency. Qualifications Experience — 6 consecutive months JIB experience and 100% certified in all workstations for internal promotions, or 1-year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail customer service environment. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities — Must be at least 18 years old; complete Team Leader training classes; in some states ServSafe certification may be required. Proficient in English (reading/writing); ability to speak another language may be required based on location. Excellent interpersonal skills; basic math; ability to work with diverse groups; strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills. Self-starter with initiative and responsibility. Basic computer knowledge; demonstrate integrity and ethical behavior. Physical Requirements — Ability to stand/walk 90-95% of shift; lift/carry 15-25 lbs; able to listen to orders, operate the POS, and read video monitors.
