Information Systems Training Specialist

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and management of Contractor staff within the District Office, serving as the on-site representative for personnel matters such as payroll, timekeeping, and attendance.
  • Partner with DCMWC district office supervisory staff to ensure efficient use of contract staff time and act as a designated backup for all critical data functions.
  • Represent the Contractor and DCMWC professionally when communicating with providers, claimants, and the public regarding ASP information, medical billing issues, and submission problems. Coordinate information exchange with DOL Medical Bill Coordinators in the National Office or local District Offices, as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison between the District Office and provider community regarding ASP-related activities, diagnostic testing, and billing submissions. Maintain an up-to-date online directory of diagnostic and treatment providers within the Districts service area.
  • Report and assist with resolving IT issues (e.g., PC, printing, email, network, and ASP system problems) in coordination with Government Service Managers. Prepare and submit performance reports as required.
  • Assist with installing new software (COTS and DOL/Contractor-developed).
  • Train DOL and DCMWC staff on PC and network applications, ASP user interfaces, and system functionality.
  • Manage the receipt of Contractor supplies, MIS, and reports, ensuring adequate inventory for ASP hardware.
  • Under the District Directors direction, supervise document processing technicians and oversee projects involving the movement and tracking of claim folders across DCMWC components and other government agencies (e.g., SSA, FRC).
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the District Director to ensure efficient operations.

Knowledge & Experience Required

  • Demonstrated proficiency with computers and the ASP application.
  • Strong knowledge of composition and presentation techniques.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical information in writing and verbally to a wide range of audiences.
  • Skilled in responding promptly and articulately to requests from client liaisons.
  • Supervisory experience or equivalent, with proven ability to lead and manage staff effectively.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on collaboration and customer service.
