Router Operator

HM Richards is a financially stable, 27-year-old upholstery and furniture manufacturing company focused on expansion. Our company mission is to make beautiful furniture while constantly reducing our environmental footprint by using planet friendly materials and processes.

We currently have an opening for a Router Operator in our Guntown, MS location.

Summary:

• Operates router to cut sheets of plywood according to daily production schedule.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Reports to the router each morning, and turns on the power. The two kinds of routers used are Northwood router and Como single ply and double ply routers.
• Receives job packet, and reviews daily schedule. Picks job order in computer, and selects which job to run. Job orders are already programmed into router computer program. Router operator finds and selects job to cut.
• Lifts sheet of plywood and loads onto area to be cut. Northwood router has two operators lifting and loading the plywood. Plywood sheets can range in size, length and thickness. Some sheets measure inch and can weigh up to 20 pounds.
• Places excess wood onto conveyor for proper disposal.
• Performs other duties as required by supervisor.

What We Are Looking For:

• Knowledge about assembly line type environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to submit to a drug test and background investigation

Pay range is $18.45 - $19.95 / hour. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
