With deep community roots and a strong commitment to accessible, high-quality care, FBH is entering an exciting period of growth - and we’re looking for a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to help lead the way.

As CMO, you will serve as the strategic clinical leader for FBH, reporting directly to the CEO. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of behavioral health across Eastern Washington while overseeing a large, mission-driven provider team.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide visionary medical leadership, guiding clinical strategy and ensuring excellence in care delivery.
  • Lead, mentor, and support a diverse team of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and other medical staff.
  • Partner with executive leadership to set organizational priorities and advance population health outcomes.
  • Champion quality, compliance, and innovation across service lines.
  • Serve as the face of medical leadership to external partners, payors, and the broader community.

Why Frontier Behavioral Health?

  • Mission-driven: Make a tangible difference in thousands of lives each year.
  • Strategic influence: Report directly to the CEO and play a key role in shaping the organization’s growth.
  • Community impact: Help expand access to critical behavioral health services across the region.
  • Professional growth: Join a highly collaborative executive team in a growing, respected nonprofit.

Skills & experience we’re looking for:

  • Board-certified psychiatrist (MD or DO).
  • Minimum 7 years of clinical psychiatry experience, with at least 3+ years in leadership roles.
  • Proven leadership experience in a healthcare or behavioral health setting.
  • Strong strategic acumen, with the ability to balance clinical quality, operational excellence, and growth.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
