Overview

California Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) is hiring a CalBIS Business Development Analyst.
This position provides state-wide business attraction and expansion project-based support in California and reports to the CalBIS Programs and Outreach Associate Deputy Director with general program direction from the Deputy Director.

Working Conditions

Hybrid: this position is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule and requires reporting in-person at headquarters in Sacramento 2 times per week.

Responsibilities

The Business Development Analyst will receive direction from the CalBIS Programs and Outreach Associate Deputy Director and general program direction from the Deputy Director. This position performs the more responsible, varied, and complex technical analytical duties to assist with providing state-wide business attraction and expansion project-based support in California. Qualifications
  • Experience working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. Include specific CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Hubspot), roles in using or managing the system, and how it supported business processes or workflow efficiency.
  • Experience with AI tools, data analysis, or automation platforms (e.g., Python, machine learning models). Explain how these tools supported decision making, streamlined operations, or analyzed complex data.
