BT-53 – Atlassian Front-End Engineer
Location: Maryland

• Platform Hosting or Cloud Instance: Deploys, operates and maintains web services within platform hosting or cloud environments. Infrastructure system administration support by monitoring application usage and vulnerability patching.
• Script Programming: Atlassian jQuery.
• Web Application Programming: Develop Atlassian web user interfaces and experience with, or knowledge of additional web UI frameworks.
• Communications/Visual Media: Designs, develops engaging and targeted content and messages on digital platforms. Uses Atlassian Suite. Deliver appropriate corporate messages to internal audiences. Web content creation skills to support Jira, Confluence, etc. and integration with Corporate SharePoint websites.
  
   

1. Understand features and administrative responsibilities for maintaining the health, scalability, manageability, and security for the Atlassian applications and plugins using Data Center
2. Know all aspects of project workflows, security, permission, fields, and notifications.
3. Demonstrated experience and understanding of the Atlassian Architecture and Suite of software products to include all: Bamboo, Bitbucket, Confluence, Crowd, Fisheye/Crucible, Jira Service Management, Jira Software, and Insight/Assets.
4. Demonstrated experience administering the Atlassian Suite, writing JQL (JIRA Query Language), constructing Confluence pages, performing installations and migrations, and working with JIRA filters, reporting, dashboards, workflows, fields, administration, 3rd party add-ons, etc.
5. Demonstrated experience using puppet or other software configuration management tool.
6. Demonstrated experience managing Linux/Unix system patches.
7. Demonstrated experience using Linux for application upgrades and troubleshoot service disruptions
8. Demonstrated experience helping teams improve their utilization of existing tools across a diverse set of processes including intake, backlog grooming, sprint and release planning, test planning and execution, incident management, and problem management.
9. Demonstrated experience providing process and tools training for both individual users as well as new or established agile teams of varying degrees of size and maturity.
10. Demonstrated experience developing valuable metrics, able to gather and translate business requirements inti Jira projects and dashboards, and advanced filters for end-users and business leadership.
11. Demonstrated experience documenting processes and standard operating procedures.
12. Demonstrated experience with agile software development processes
13. Demonstrated experience using VCenter and VM administration
14. Demonstrated experience using JavaScript to enhance automation of Jira projects

1. Demonstrated experience with or understanding of authentication and authorization fundamentals in IT environment.
2. Demonstrated experience with web application development.
3. Demonstrated experience maintaining a VMware or Hyper-V infrastructure.
4. Demonstrated experience with Windows Operating Systems.
5. Demonstrated experience or familiarity with Server/RAID.
6. Demonstrated programming experience in bash, ruby, or python.
7. Demonstrated understanding of authentication and authorization fundamentals.
8. Demonstrated on-the-job experience in identifying, integrating and implementing technology-enabled solutions and industry-best practices.
9. Demonstrated on-the-job experience supporting and managing a Hadoop environment.
