Job Full Description Assembler Job Summary: Furniture manufacturer in Grand Rapids, MI, is hiring an Assembler for their organization. This is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action/Veteran/Disability Employer.
Assembler Responsibilities :
- Read, comprehend, and follow assembly instructions
- Collecting all material and equipment needed to begin the process
- Taking precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components
- Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications
- Putting pieces together using tools such as drills, clamps, screwdrivers, mallets
- Check finished product to ensure highest quality
- Maintain equipment in good condition
- Keep records of production quantities and time
- Assisting in other areas as required
Schedule & Pay - 1st shift 5:00am-3:30pm Monday - Thursday with overtime on Friday and Saturday as required
- $17.00/HR
Assembler Qualifications: - Experience working with furniture assembly and hand tools preferred but will train
- Good understanding of quality control principles
- Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings etc.
- Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure using whole numbers and common fractions
- Ability to stand for duration of the shift
- Ability to occasionally walk, bend, crouch, kneel
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to see color
