Agile Scrum Master Our client is seeking an experienced Agile Scrum Master to support key technology initiatives within their IT organization. This role will guide multiple agile teams, apply SAFe practices to organize and deliver technical work, and strengthen team performance across a collaborative agile community. Fully remote. Lead up to three Agile teams through all Scrum ceremonies, ensuring effective facilitation of daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and quarterly planning events. Apply SAFe principles to structure team workflows, coordinate dependencies, and support high‑quality technical delivery. Identify, track, and remove impediments while advocating for timely mitigation to maintain team momentum. Partner with Product Owners to manage and refine team backlogs, user stories, sprint plans, and roadmaps. Maintain and optimize work tracking within Jira, Align, or similar agile management tools, including reporting productivity metrics and overall team health. Coordinate and link test cases and results to user stories and development tasks to support quality assurance efforts. Promote Agile values, fostering continuous improvement and coaching team members to enhance culture, performance, and alignment. Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches to drive organizational maturity in Agile frameworks and practices. Provide clear communication to stakeholders regarding team progress, metrics, risks, and delivery expectations. Assist with risk identification and mitigation throughout the project lifecycle. Agile Scrum Master Qualifications Minimum three years of experience serving as a Scrum Master in a SAFe‑based environment. Demonstrated ability to identify impediments and drive resolution or mitigation. At least one year supporting Agile teams and facilitating all core Scrum ceremonies. Minimum three years of experience using Jira, Align, or similar Agile project management tools. Experience managing Agile backlogs, sprint plans, roadmaps, and reporting metrics within work management systems. Experience coordinating test cases and results with user stories and development tasks. Proven ability to promote Agile principles and shield teams from external distractions. Experience collaborating with Product Owners to refine stories and prioritize work. Strong ability to communicate team metrics, progress, and performance to stakeholders. Experience coaching teams, supporting continuous improvement, and driving Agile practices. Experience coordinating with other Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches across an organization. Experience contributing to risk identification and mitigation activities. Preferred Experience fostering a culture of transparency, collaboration, and accountability. Background in utility, energy, public sector, or similar regulated environments. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and modern development best practices. Excellent facilitation, coaching, communication, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution skills. Experience working within Agile software development environments. Additional certifications such as CSM, PSM, or equivalent. Ability to influence without authority and collaborate across diverse, cross‑functional teams.
